If you’re one of those rare car buyers, rejoice; after seven years, Toyota has finally updated the Camry for 2025.

The company is using the latest model of its best-selling vehicle to double down on hybrids. Along with fresh styling updates inside and out, the big news is the Camry now comes standard with a hybrid engine for both all-wheel and and front-wheel Camrys.

Toyota dropped the 3.5-liter V6 (the TRD trim is gone too as a result) as well as the gas powered 2.5-liter I4. The sole engine for every Camry is a 2.5-liter I4 paired with the fifth-generation of Toyota’s hybrid tech. Combined the gas engine with the hybrid systems dual-electric motor and you get a total output of 225 horsepower. If you opt for all-wheel drive, though, you get an extra seven hp for a total of 232. Buyers will also be able to option all-wheel drive on every single trim of the Camry. We didn’t get any official miles-per-gallon numbers, but the current Camry Hybrid gets 52 miles city and highway combined.

Outside, Toyota designers refreshed the exterior design of the Camry. The front facia design features a family resemblance to other recent Toyota models like the Crown and Grand Highlander. There’s new sleeker headlights and LED DRLs on all trims. Sporty SE and XSE trims of the Camry get functional aerodynamic air ducts up front, front-side canards and a rear spoiler while black trim, body color grille, and a rear “diffuser” are specific to the XSE.

Thankfully the interior—which honestly was a weak point of the current generation—was touched up as well. Toyota says better materials have been used in the interior, especially on the seats. Base LE trims get a seat pattern inspired by ocean waves. XLE trims feature Dinamica and microfiber covered seats and a quilted pattern covers parts of the dash.

Of course screens are all the rage now and the Camry delivers. Infotainment screen sizes range from an eight-inch on base cars to 12.3-inches on higher trims. There’s also digital gauge clusters that measure either seven or 12.3-inches again, depending on trim. All the other usual tech is there too like standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a suite of driver safety systems and OTA updates.

Toyota isn’t talking pricing yet, but hybrids tend to cost a bit more than their ICE counterparts; the current Camry Hybrid MRSPs for about $2,400 more. Buyers can expect the 2025 Camry to arrive at Toyota dealers in the Spring of 2024.
